Ricky Rivera worked for several years as a subcontractor doing kitchen re-facing, remodeling bathrooms (building off an existing kitchen by providing new doors, drawers, hardware and other features), but then decided to go into business for himself, and deal with customers directly. He started the Ricky's Carpentry LLC, and has been providing his services as a carpenter to the commercial and residential areas of New Jersey ever since. Ricky Rivera says:" I basically wanted to control my own destiny, "instead of relying on other people pointing me in different directions, I wanted to be able to do my own thing. Now I can actually work the hours that I need to work, in the profession I love most." I always liked working with wood, and it was a good opportunity for me to break into it.

I was working for different companies as a subcontractor, just being hired out. But when things started to pick up, that's when I broke into doing my own business." As of now, Ricky's Carpentry is a small operation: It's basically Ricky Rivera and a work crew, who handles the carpentry, and his wife, who handles the office work. So far, Ricky's Carpentry has taken jobs all over New Jersey, and is hoping in the future to expand the business further and to hire a larger staff. "Running your own business, you have to deal with other contractors, with customers, with merchants and with the money side of it," says Ricky. "And I do have reasonable rates; I'm out to make the customer happy and to assure our clients that "Carpentry We Got It Covered".

Ricky's Carpentry handles anything from wood works, remodeling and re-facing projects, tile work, interior paint jobs, hanging doors, and everything in between, no job too small or large. Ricky is an experienced carpenter who takes a great deal of pride in his work; over the years he has refined his skills and has completed a vast number of projects successfully.
